Meet Our Donors

We thank all our planned-gift donors for their generous support. Here are some of their stories.

Ann and Frank Gilbert

I was introduced to the Round House Theatre over 20 years ago, when it was at Bushey Drive. It was instant infatuation. Frank and I, who are seasoned theater-goers, loved the plays, the actors, and the opportunity to see excellent theater in Montgomery County, where we live. In 2002, I was asked to join the board and shared in the initial plans of the theatre's move to downtown Bethesda and Silver Spring. We are passionate about theater and feel fortunate to be able to support such a fine theater in downtown Bethesda, close to where we live. And we are pleased to add to its legacy.

I attended my first Round House Theatre play, Three Days of Rain, at the Bushey Drive theatre in 2001. The experience absolutely blew me away! The play touched my heart and it made me think. There was something about the intimacy of the space that connected me to the story, the actors on the stage and the other members of the audience.

That sense of community continues to bring me back to Round House season after season. The theatre is committed to patrons of all ages. It works hard to engage young people in an appreciation for the arts and it engages theatre goers of all ages in the process of creating quality theatre.

To support the work of the theatre, I was part of the Scripting the Future campaign to build the new space on East/West Highway and I have served on the board since 2006. But that is not enough. To ensure that Round House Theatre can continue to do what it does best, I have included Round House Theatre in my will as a named beneficiary of my trust.
